12-10 : National Champions!!!
|
For the second time in 2 years, 2 Bedford Jaguar Spirit teams took State
titles last October, earning a bid, again, to Regionals.
Illness and
injury tried to sabotage their efforts to earn bids to represent Bedford on the
National Stage. Perseverance and moxie overcame that, and the Junior Midgets and
Midgets earned bids, taking 2nd and 3rd in their divisions.
This past
week the Bedford Jaguar Spirit teams traveled to Florida, for the second time
ever and the first time with 2 teams.
Using the time between regionals
and nationals, both teams revamped and reworked their routines for the national
stage.
The time, effort, and dedication of the athletes, coaches and
families enabled the Jaguars, again, for the second time in 2 years, to make
Bedford History.
Our Bedford Jaguar Junior Midget and Midget Spirit
Squads have each brought home a 1st place trophy in their respective divisions.
The Jaguars are the first organization in Bedford History to have 2 National
Championship teams.
|
12-09 : National Champions Again!
|
Last years Peewee Spirit squad was the first to ever win a National title in Bedford. Well this year, The Jr. Midget Spirit Squad has done it again.
It is not too late to send in a donation towards the Jr. Midget and Midget travel expense fund. Over $13,000 so far has been raised, but we need much more to reach our goal, so please send in what you can. BYFA is a registered 501 (C) 3 organization; therefore your donations are tax deductible.
Stay tune to find out how our Midgets squad did at Nationals.
|
11-26 : Jaguars to send two to Nationals
|
For the first time ever in Bedford Sports History, 2 teams will represent
our town in a National Level Competition.
At the New England Regionals
competition held at the DCU Center, Bedford's Junior Midget and Midget teams
each earned bids to the AYC National Competition.
For the second
consecutive year Bedford was represented at the the New England Regionals
Competition by 4 Jaguar teams.
Results:
| Junior Pee Wee |
4th place |
| Pee Wee |
6th place** |
| Junior Midget |
2nd place -> Going to Nationals |
| Midget |
3rd place -> Going to
Nationals |
** in a very strong level that saw no NH
team move on, a rarity to say the least. The Midget team also
took the PM Session Spirit Award. The Junior Midgets and Midgets are
trying to raise funds and plan their trip to Florida. The Jaguars want
to thank and congratulate our Spirit teams on what they have accomplished to
date.
|
11-05 : Bedford Crowns Two State Champions!
|
The Bedford Jaguars Jr. Peewee defeated the Derry Demon 12 – 6 which
completes their undefeated season with a State Championship.
The Bedford
Jaguars Midgets defeated the Lawrence Mill City Jr. Maulers 14-0 to win its
program’s first Midget State Championship.
Congratulations to both teams coaching staffs, players, cheerleaders and
parents for a great job supporting and representing the Bedford Jaguars!
