Bedford Jaguars Flag Football Center

August 24th
The Bedford Jaguars started an exciting new chapter in their history today with the start of their flag football program. The flag program is open to 5 through 8 year olds (depending on DOB).

The inaugural game started in Goffstown, NH today at the Mountain View School. The young Jaguar cubs took the field against the Screaming Eagles of Goffstown. It didn’t take long for the Jags to put six points on the board. On the first play from scrimmage, Johnnie Redman weaved and bobbed in and out of the Eagles defense until finally getting to the outside and taking it 40 yards to the house for the score. The extra point attempt failed leaving the score 6-0.

The Eagles took over on offense only to be stonewalled by a tough Jag defense led by Zachary Garron and JP Sullivan. On the next position it was Isaiah Hairston with a great outside jaunt for 20 yards into the red zone followed by a Johnnie Redman sprint for another 20 yards into the end zone. Isaiah Hairston added the extra point with a 5 yard plunge. The Jag defense took the field and had some tough play from Torrey Helton and Richard Boulette but the Eagles were determined to punch it in and after a nice drive were able to put 6 points on the board then added the extra point.

Once back on offense it was Johnnie Redman again for the hat trick with his third TD run of the day. Brian Greer sliced through the Eagles defense and added the extra point making the score 20-7. Isaiah Hairston and Alex Winslow continued to provide tough defense but the Screaming Eagles were determined to attempt a comeback. With time winding down the Eagles were able to score again but Nicolas Flores was able to stop the extra point. The game ended with the score Bedford Jaguars 20, Goffstown 13.
